Scotsburn Winter Carnival Hike: Saturday, February 4, 2017
Location: Fitzpatrick Trail, Scotsburn at Deb's Cafe

Time: 1:00 PM
Cost: Free
km (return): 3-5km
Trail Difficulty: Moderate

Bring snowshoes or hiking boots depending on snow conditions! We will meet in Scotsburn at Deb's Hidden Cafe and proceed to the trailhead or to Smith Rock Chalets. The route will be determined by the demographic mix of participants. There is no view quite like that on the ridge of Fitzpatrick Mountain anywhere else in Pictou County! Bring snacks, water, coffee, tea, and an extra shell (in case of a cold wind).

We may finish off having hot chocolate at Deb's Hidden Cafe or at the Scotsburn Recreation Hall (John Gammon Hall).

If you need snowshoes, arrange early to BORROW snowshoes at Scotsburn School (902-485-7980) or at Trenton Park (902-752-1019) or you can RENT snowshoes in New Glasgow at Pictou County Cycle (902-928-0331) and in Tatamagouche at Remember Adventures (902-657-0054).

Questions? Call Eric Wilson (Guide) at 902-485-6120.
