Our group encourages participation in our project through a variety of events. Join us for trail building activities, ladies days or come out and hike the trail as part of a group. If you'd like to add an activity, please contribute!


Trail Build Workshop: Saturday, May 26, 2012
Location: Cape George Heritage Museum
Time: 9:00 AM


Everyone is welcome to come to Cape George on the 26th and 27th of May to
celebrate the Cape George Hiking Trail. This amazing trail with breath
taking views of the Northumberland Strait is one of the oldest volunteer
managed wilderness trails in NS.

There will be a trail build workshop on the 26th led by Garnet McLaughlin
and a family day on the 27th where everyone can enjoy this amazing coastline
by beach or trail. Supper will be provided by the Antigonish Northshore
Development Society. It will include salads, ham, beverages, and lobster
boil. Saturday night will include entertainment from local musicians and
story tellers.

Camping is available on Friday and Saturday night adjacent to the Cape
George Heritage Museum. The building offers washroom facilities and water.

Registration for the trail build will be at 9am on Saturday morning. You can
come for the day or spend the weekend and all ages are welcome.

Come and experience the north shore in Antigonish County with great food,
people, and entertainment!!!

If you are planning to enjoy the meal on Saturday it would be greatly
appreciated if you could register with the group.
